Loadshedding continues to be one of the most common problems faced by people across Pakistan. Frequent power outages disrupt daily life and create difficulties for students, workers and business owners. During the summer season, the situation becomes even worse as people have to cope with extreme heat without electricity. Students are among the most affected because they cannot study properly during power cuts. Many online classes and educational activities also depend on a stable electricity supply. Similarly, small businesses suffer losses when machines and equipment stop working. Hospitals, shops and offices also face operational challenges due to unexpected outages.
The increasing demand for electricity and weaknesses in the power distribution system are some of the main causes of loadshedding. The authorities should work on improving energy management and reducing power losses. Greater investment in renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power can also help provide a more reliable electricity supply.
