Timely completion of uplift projects ordered

LAHORE : Commissioner Marryam Khan has said beautification under the Punjab Development Programme will be completed by June 30, adding every scheme launched under the programme should be completed as per the deadline.

A divisional meeting was held under the chairpersonship of the commissioner. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners of all four districts of Lahore Division. The commissioner reviewed the schemes completed in the division till June 30. She reviewed beautification projects, development progress, performance indicators, Punjab Development Programme and de-silting operations.

On this occasion, all DCs gave a briefing about the ongoing development projects. While giving a briefing, they said that Phase One of the Lahore Development Plan is complete, the second phase is about to complete, irrigation and district administration are carrying out de-silting in all drains and district flood drains in Lahore. The commissioner reviewed the details of de-silting operations of Nullah Dek including drains of Lahore.

She issued instructions to the Deputy Commissioners of all four districts. She said that beautification under the Punjab Development Program will be completed by June 30, daily review is being done; every scheme launched under the Punjab Development Programme in the districts should be completed as per the deadline. The commissioner said that development works in every tehsil must be completed as per the timelines and deadlines.

According to the vision of the CM, revenue and municipal service provision are of equal importance. She added said that the Deputy Commissioners should formulate a coordinated action plan for the agencies and authorities coming at the district level.
