Man and son killed, another son injured in Surjani Town firing

Police have registered a murder case and launched an investigation into the killing of a man and his son in Surjani Town in a shooting incident that allegedly took place over a personal dispute.

According to police officials, the case was registered on the complaint of Sabir Hussain, another son of the deceased man. In his statement, Sabir said he worked at a flour mill and was returning home from work when he received information that his father and brothers had been shot and injured.

Sabir said that upon receiving the news, he immediately rushed to the hospital, where he learned that his father Kamil Hussain and brother Duran Hussain had succumbed to their injuries.

He also informed police that his another brother Adil Hussain was critically injured in the attack and remained under treatment. The complainant alleged that the attack was carried out by Azeem Pathan, also known as Lamba, along with his three accomplices. Sabir reported that the suspect had had an altercation with his brother Duran earlier in the day, which was believed to have triggered the deadly incident.

The complainant told the investigators that his father and brother were sitting outside their house when the suspect and his associates arrived and opened indiscriminate fire on them before fleeing the scene.

Police said that based on the statement of the complainant, a case had been registered against the nominated suspect under sections of the Pakistan Penal Code pertaining to murder and attempted murder.

Investigators said they had begun collecting evidence and recording statements of witnesses to determine the exact circumstances of the attack. Police officials said raids were being conducted to apprehend the suspects.
