MINGORA: A family from Ramait area of Bahrain in Swat has appealed to the government, police and other relevant authorities to provide justice and ensure the immediate arrest of an accused allegedly involved in the murder of their brother and the abduction of their sister-in-law.

Addressing a press conference at the Swat Press Club, Afzal Khan and other family members said that armed men attacked their home on May 21, during which their brother, Akram, was shot dead.

According to Afzal Khan, the attackers also took away his sister-in-law Rashida, who was allegedly subjected to abuse before being released later. The family complained that the dispute reportedly began after a court marriage, although they claimed they had no prior knowledge of the marriage.

The family said a case was later registered and four accused had already been arrested. However, several others remained at large. According to the complainants, two of the accused had fled to Saudi Arabia, while others were still roaming freely, prompting them to demand immediate action from the police. The relatives of the deceased called on authorities to bring all accused allegedly involved in the murder and the abduction before the law and ensure prompt justice.
