NUML hosts BD academic delegation, signs LoI with Rajshahi University

Islamabad : A high-level 12-member academic delegation from Bangladesh, led by Professor Dr. Mamum Ahmed, Chairman of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, visited National University of Modern Languages to strengthen academic cooperation and educational ties between the two countries.

The delegation, comprising vice-chancellors of leading Bangladeshi universities, was accompanied by representatives of the Higher Education Commission. The distinguished guests were warmly received by Rector NUML, Major General (r) Shahid Mahmood Kayani, along with senior university officials.

During the visit, the delegation was given a comprehensive tour of the university campus and its academic and cultural facilities. The guests visited the ongoing Job Fair and later toured the NUML TV Studio. At the Faculty of Computing and Engineering, the visiting dignitaries interacted with students and faculty members and showed keen interest in innovative projects and technological demonstrations presented at various stalls.

The delegation also visited the NUML Library and the Bangla Corner, where Chairman UGC Bangladesh recorded his remarks in the visitors’ book and appreciated NUML’s efforts in promoting linguistic diversity and cultural harmony.

Later, the guests visited the Bangla Department at Ghalib Block and highly appreciated the vibrant cultural stalls organized by the Department of Pakistan Studies, showcasing the rich traditions and heritage of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.

A major highlight of the visit was the signing of a Letter of Interest (LoI) between National University of Modern Languages and University of Rajshahi.
