LAHORE : Actor Momina Iqbal appeared before NCCIA on Thursday and submitted digital evidence, including alleged threatening messages linked to Saqib Chaddar, her lawyer said.
According to investigative sources, Iqbal, accompanied by her lawyer, recorded her statement and provided evidence related to alleged online harassment, cyberbullying and death threats.
Speaking to reporters, her lawyer claimed that Chaddar had sent a marriage proposal and remained in contact with Iqbal since 2022.
He said Iqbal ended the relationship after learning he was already married, adding that harassment began after her engagement was announced elsewhere.
Sources said that Chaddar, who had initially not appeared despite being served a notice, later presented himself before the agency, where his questioning is ongoing. The NCCIA had summoned both parties after receiving Iqbal’s complaint, which was filed from Karachi.
MPA’s lawyer rejected all allegations, and stated that no cyberbullying or online harassment had taken place.
