The Federal Investigation Agency’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Karachi on Wednesday conducted a major operation and arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in a human smuggling case registered under FIR No. 288/2022.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the accused, identified as Abdul Rasheed, son of Matloob Hussain and a resident of Daska, Sialkot, was arrested from Sialkot International Airport by a team of FIA AHTC Karachi. The spokesperson said the suspect had been absconding for a long period and was allegedly involved in defrauding citizens of millions of rupees on the pretext of sending them to Spain and other European countries through fake Schengen visas and illegal immigration networks.

FIA officials stated that the accused was believed to be a key member of an organised network involved in human smuggling and visa fraud. The FIA reiterated that indiscriminate action against individuals involved in human trafficking, visa fraud, and illegal immigration was continuing across the country.
