RAWALPINDI: A Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Monday adjourned until June 9 the hearing of interim bail applications filed by Bushra Bibi, wife of former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, in 29 cases related to violent protests and arson.
Bushra Bibi’s counsel, Muhammad Faisal Malik, and the senior prosecutor appeared before the court during the proceedings.
During the hearing, the defence counsel informed the court that the investigation officer had yet to interrogate Bushra Bibi despite earlier court directions. The lawyer requested that any interrogation be conducted in the presence of her husband and legal team.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the court postponed further proceedings until June 9.
The cases against Bushra Bibi have been registered in Rawalpindi, Taxila, and Attock over allegations linked to violent protests and arson incidents. She is currently on interim bail in all 29 cases.
