Islamabad:A high-level delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs and investors has concluded a multi-sector visit to Pakistan, signalling renewed momentum in bilateral economic engagement and an expansion of Pakistan-China commercial cooperation beyond traditional infrastructure-led collaboration, says a press release.
At the centre of the forum was Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Tourism, whose leadership shaped structured engagements between Chinese delegates and Pakistani business leaders, steering discussions towards a broader, innovation-driven investment agenda aimed at positioning Pakistan as a destination for diversified foreign investment.
The dialogue covered agriculture, renewable energy, battery technology, construction materials, tourism, and healthcare, reflecting a shift towards sustainability and value-added growth. Chinese participants expressed strong interest in joint ventures and investment opportunities aligned with green development and industrial modernisation.
Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan emphasized converting political goodwill into concrete economic outcomes through stronger business-to-business linkages and institutional mechanisms for long-term cooperation, framing Pakistan as a strategic partner in regional production networks.
