CCPO orders Eid security plan for cattle markets

LAHORE:Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana chaired a review meeting on law and order and divisional performance.

He ordered strict security at cattle markets ahead of Eidul Azha and directed measures against theft of sacrificial animals and fraud in livestock trade.The CCPO said citizens must be protected from financial exploitation during buying and selling.

He also ordered crackdown on illegally residing Afghan nationals and strict enforcement of law. Bilal Siddique Kamyana said FIRs must be registered without delay and justice delivered promptly, adding that crimes against women and children remain a priority.

He directed SSP (Operations) to personally monitor action against gambling dens and illegal activities.The CCPO ordered barriers, CCTV cameras and security guards in residential areas and asked housing societies to follow security SOPs.He urged officers to adopt modern policing methods and ensure quick response to public complaints. DIGs, SSPs, SPs, ASPs and other senior officers attended the meeting.
