LAHORE:Bangladesh civil services officers visited Commissioner Lahore Division Office on Tuesday where Commissioner Lahore Marryam Khan chaired a briefing meeting.
In the meeting, Civil Services Academy DG Farhan Aziz Khawaja gave an introductory speech on Pak-Bangladesh Civil Services. Commissioner Lahore spoke on administration and public policy while DC Lahore Ali Ijaz gave a briefing on administrative working and mechanism. The guest delegation was also briefed on climate change measures, performance and challenges.
Commissioner Lahore highlighted the new projects of Punjab government for providing civic services and facilities. She said that CM Punjab has started revolutionary programmes for people from all sectors of life. “The CM takes performance reports from all districts on a daily basis and reviews public health measures”.
She further said that urban flooding and flooding response are organised through advance preparation, monitoring and instant operations. “During monsoon there is complete coordination between the Met Office, PDMA, Wasa, Rescue 1122 and district administrative departments”. Later, Commissioner Lahore presented shields to Bangladeshi civil officers and DG Civil Services Academy Farhan Aziz Khawaja.
