ISLAMABAD: Masood Nabi, a seasoned energy sector professional, has been elected Chairman of the Pakistan Petroleum Exploration and Production Companies Association (PPEPCA) -- the representative body of Pakistan’s upstream oil and gas exploration and production sector comprising leading local and international companies operating in the country.
PPEPCA plays a key role in policy advocacy, industry coordination, and stakeholder engagement aimed at promoting sustainable growth in Pakistan’s petroleum exploration and production landscape.
Masood Nabi, who currently serves as Managing Director and CEO of Government Holdings (Pvt) Ltd (GHPL), brings more than 25 years of diversified experience across the petroleum, energy, mining, and financial sectors. He has held senior leadership positions in both public and private sector organisations throughout his career.
In addition to his current role at GHPL, he has also been serving as CEO of Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) for over three years, where he has been involved in LNG procurement and supply management for the country’s energy system.
Previously, Mr Nabi also served as CEO of Saindak Metals Limited (SML), contributing to industrial and corporate management functions during his tenure.
Earlier in his career, he held the position of executive director for Joint Ventures and Business Development at Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) -- one of the country’s largest upstream exploration firms.
His election as chairman PPEPCA is seen as a significant development for Pakistan’s energy sector, bringing together extensive experience across LNG procurement, upstream exploration, and industrial development under one leadership role.
