LAHORE : Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik M Ahmad Khan on Friday said that Marka-e-Haq stands as a defining chapter in Pakistan’s history, demonstrating the country’s military preparedness, diplomatic strength, and unparalleled national unity before the international community.

He expressed these views after inaugurating a photo exhibition on Marka-e-Haq at the Punjab Institute of Language, Art and Culture (PILAC) on Saturday.

Congratulating the nation, Malik Ahmad Khan said that the events of May 10 marked a historic moment when Pakistan emerged on the world stage as a confident, dignified, and resilient state. He paid tribute to PM Shehbaz Sharif, CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the armed forces of Pakistan, the national media, and the people of Pakistan for their collective role in what he described as a landmark national success.

“The world acknowledged Pakistan’s principled position, while India failed to substantiate its allegations even after the passage of one year,” he said.

The speaker noted that Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach, including the efforts of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in key international capitals from New York to Turkiye, effectively presented Pakistan’s case and secured broad international understanding and support.

He said the Pakistani nation stood united like a fortified wall behind its leadership, while professional and timely briefings by the military’s public relations wing further strengthened public confidence and national morale.

Referring to Pakistan’s defence capabilities, Malik Ahmad Khan said the country’s advanced electronic warfare systems effectively neutralised hostile drones, radar installations, and India’s much-publicized S-400 air defence system, along with other strategic assets, demonstrating Pakistan’s technological sophistication and operational readiness. He added that the Pakistan Air Force exhibited exceptional professionalism and proved that the country’s defence is in highly capable hands.

The Speaker reiterated that Pakistan is a peace-loving country and remains committed to regional stability. However, he warned that any future act of aggression would be met with a stronger, swifter, and more decisive response.

He emphasised that there can be no compromise on Pakistan’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
