Although crime is still on the rise, the growing sense of injustice that results from it is even more worrisome. Although laws are in place to protect citizens, justice frequently seems to be uneven and delayed and public confidence in the system is starting to erode.
In order to lower crime, rebuild public trust in the system, and guarantee a safer future for everybody, the legal system needs to be more transparent, timely and consistent.
