Islamabad:Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq presided over an important meeting with the officers of the Industrial Area zone to review the crime situation and operational strategies.
The meeting was attended by the SP Industrial Area zone Hasnain Waris, SDPOs and SHOs of the Industrial Area zone. During the meeting, DIG issued clear directives to the officers stressing the need to tighten the noose around criminal gangs and ensure the arrest of their absconding members.
He directed that the data of accused involved in property related crimes should be compiled and their arrests must be carried out without delay. He further directed that all under investigation cases must be concluded on merit and challans should be submitted to the competent courts at the earliest.
Officers were also told to keep strict surveillance on previously released accused involved in property crimes and to re-arrest them immediately if they commit any new offenses. Jawad Tariq also emphasized the importance of apprehending those involved in vehicle and motorcycle theft cases and directed for maximum arrests of proclaimed offenders.
