Rawalpindi:A ceremony at the Awaam Pakistan Public Secretariat in Waris Khan on Friday marked one year since ‘Marqa e Haq - Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos’, paying tribute to Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the armed forces for their courage and sacrifices.
The event, hosted by Samina Shuaib, began with a recitation from the Holy Quran. Chants of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ and ‘Pak Army Paindabad’ echoed through the hall.Chaudhry Inam Zafar, Central Vice President of Awaam Pakistan, and Hafiz Usman Abbasi, Additional General Secretary, attended as guests of honour.
Sardar Nazir Ahmed Kashmiri welcomed the guests. A large number of Christian community members participated. Azhar Ali Qadri and Pastor Naser Gill offered special prayers for Pakistan and its armed forces. Representing the community, Mumtaz Bhatti praised the party leadership and paid tribute to Field Marshal Munir and the armed forces.
Hafiz Usman Abbasi called the operation ‘a shining example of the sacrifices and bravery of the armed forces’. He said Awaam Pakistan believes a new ‘Marka-e-Haq’ is needed to overcome poverty, unemployment, and injustice. He added that the party ensures equal representation for workers and makes decisions through consultation and merit.
Chaudhry Inam Zafar said the ‘Marka e Haq’ taught the nation unity and sacrifice. ‘The people stand united for the defence of the homeland,’ he said, adding that under Field Marshal Munir, the armed forces had thwarted enemy designs. National challenges, he said, can only be addressed through collective effort and public service.
Samina Shuaib said Awaam Pakistan is committed to merit and improving governance. Sardar Nazir Ahmed Kashmiri said the nation ‘stands like a solid wall’ with the armed forces. Senior leader Razia Sultana said the party is working for public service and positive change, and that ‘the entire nation salutes Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the Pakistan Armed Forces’.The ceremony concluded with prayers for the country’s peace, prosperity, and stability.
