ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Tuesday announced a fresh round of appointments, transfers and deputation postings in the federal bureaucracy.
The president of Pakistan has approved a three-year extension in the contract appointment of Irfan Qadir Khan as legal consultant to the Presidency. The extension will take effect from April 29, 2026.
The deputation of Hafizullah Abbasi, a BS-20 officer of the Secretariat Group currently serving with the Sindh government, has been extended for one year with effect from April 3, 2026.
The services of Shiraz Hussain Wagan, Director Commercial Audit, Islamabad, and a BS-19 officer of the Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service, have been placed at the disposal of Sindh government on deputation for a period of three years.
Ministry of Water Resources Deputy Secretary Syed Natiq Hussain Shah has been transferred and directed to report to the Establishment Division.
Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Deputy Secretary Zafar Khalid has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary in the Establishment Division. Nine officers of the Pakistan Administrative Service who were awaiting appointment in the Establishment Division have been made officers on special duty (OSD). They include Tooba Musa, Talha Ahmed, Arafa Zahid, Yashab Yusuf, Kamran Sarvia, Fatima Ayub, Farooq Ahmed, Sunil Younis, Nayab Maqsood and Aliza Arif.
