Two-day leadership programme held at NSPP’s EDI

LAHORE: The two-day ‘’Leadership Development Programme-II; Lead with Vision, Manage with Impact’’ successfully concluded here at Executive Development Institute (EDI) of the National School of Public Policy (NSPP) on Thursday.

The EDI arranged the vent for senior officials and decision-makers from the public and private sectors.

A diverse group of participants attended from across the country, including civil officers from both federal and provincial governments, in addition to private sector executives including academia.

Dr. Naveed Elahi, Dean EDI, in his opening remarks, highlighted that Leadership Development Programme is designed to strengthen professional leadership skills and promote excellence in public service.

Covering team dynamics, leadership styles, emotional intelligence, motivation, diversity and innovation, the program fosters learning through interaction and exchange.

Afterwards, Kamran Ahmad, Director EDI, presented a comprehensive overview of the Institute’s performance and strategic goals.

He emphasized that EDI’s planning process ensures the careful selection of experts from professional, academic and training domains to provide a holistic and integrated perspective on emerging issues.

He also highlighted the success of previous programs, noting the diverse participation of officers from across the country.

The eminent guest speakers of the first-day were Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib, Chairman of Akhuwat, Dr. Naveed Elahi, Dean, EDI/NIPP, Dr. Ishrat Hussain, former governor SBP, Kamran Lashari, former chief secretary, Prof. Dr. Saad B. Malik, Consultant Psychiatrist.

The second-day’s speakers included: Shoaib Mir, former chief secretary Baluchistan, Dr. Rizwan Basharat, specialist in intellectual property law, Shoaib Dastgir, former IG Punjab and Zafar Masud, from Bank of Punjab.
