6,116 held in action against power theft

LAHORE: Police have arrested 6,116 accused in an ongoing crackdown on electricity theft across the city so far this year, a police spokesperson said on Tuesday.

According to official figures, 5,515 cases have been registered at various police stations.

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana said operations are continuing under a zero-tolerance policy, directing field officers to intensify enforcement and ensure coordination with line departments.
