LAHORE: Hot, dry but partly cloudy weather was witnessed in the City here Tuesday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
Though scattered rain with thunderstorm occurred at different city areas in early hours, the overall day was hot and dry. The average AQI of the city was 77, which fell in the category of moderate while the PM2.5 concentration was 4.6 times the World Health Organisation annual PM2.5 guideline value.
The weather became pleasant after the rain while cool winds have significantly reduced the intensity of the heat during the early hours of the day. Met officials said maximum temperature in the city was recorded as 32°C while the minimum temperature was 21°C and the humidity ratio in the air was 60 percent.
They said continental air was prevailing over other parts of the country. They predicted that mainly hot and dry weather was expected over most parts of the country.
