NAB completes mutation of 3,527 kanal state land

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has released its performance report for the period January to April 2026, outlining its enforcement, recovery, and public service activities.

According to the report, NAB Lahore addressed 4,020 public complaints during the first four months of the year. After preliminary verification, 30 new inquiries were authorised.The bureau made eight arrests in cases involving cheating the public at large as well as high-profile matters. Four open public hearings were also held under the supervision of Director General Mirza Faran Baig.

The report states that 13 properties were restrained under court orders to prevent their transfer or disposal. NAB Lahore also completed the mutation of 3,527 kanal state land into official records, with the land valued at Rs111.7 billion across Lahore, Gujranwala, Kasur, and Jhang. During the reporting period, 977 affectees were compensated with Rs257 million, while cash recoveries of Rs617 million were secured in various cases.

Additionally, three awareness seminars were conducted in educational institutions, and 10 training sessions were organized to enhance the capacity of NAB officers.The report notes that DG Faran Baig supervised enforcement, recovery, and public relief efforts, carried out under the directives of Chairman NAB Nazir Ahmed.
