LAHORE ; Manga Mandi police arrested a six-member gang allegedly involved in the illegal trade and transplantation of human organs. The suspects, identified as Qasim, Fayyaz, Maqsood, Riaz, Iqbal and Mureed Hassan, were taken into custody at the scene. Police said the suspects engaged in the unlawful extraction and sale of kidneys, targeting vulnerable individuals. Investigators alleged that the suspects lured people with financial incentives and then deceitfully removed their organs for profit. A case was registered against the accused, while cash amounting to hundreds of thousands of rupees was also recovered during the operation.
Further investigation is under way to trace other members of the network.
