LAHORE : Police have registered a case against two men, including a businessman and his office employee, for allegedly sexually exploiting a female worker and blackmailing her with videos in the Kot Lakhpat area.
According to the FIR, the victim worked at the office of M Sheraz. Police said Sheraz lured the woman into a sexual relationship and recorded videos of the acts. The office boy, identified as Umar, also allegedly filmed the woman without her consent and subsequently blackmailed her.
The woman lodged a complaint, after which police registered a case against both accused. Meanwhile, Baghbanpura police arrested a man and registered a case against him for repeatedly sexually abusing a 15-year old boy.
The suspect, identified as Sabir, was taken into custody on the directives of SP Cantt. Officials said Sabir allegedly entered the boy’s house on multiple occasions and subjected him to sexual abuse by force. He reportedly threatened the victim with severe consequences if he disclosed the incidents to anyone. A case was registered against Sabir on the complaint of the victim’s father, Nadeem.
Suspect arrested for snatching phone
Bhatti Gate police have arrested a suspect involved in snatching a mobile phone and purse from a university student in the area. The incident occurred when a motorcyclist snatched the student’s belongings and fled. The victim approached a nearby patrolling police team, which launched a response operation.
Police said the suspect, identified as Ghulam Mustafa, was apprehended shortly afterwards and the stolen items were recovered from his possession. A case was registered against him.
Five held for selling gutka
Qila Gujjar Singh police arrested five individuals allegedly involved in the sale of gutka during action against the illegal trade in the Civil Lines circle.
According to a police spokesperson, the operation was carried out under the supervision of DSP Khurram Cheema following a tip-off about open sale of gutka in the area. The suspects, identified as Khalid, Liaqat, Faisal, Yawar and Amjad, were caught red-handed. Police said more than 4,000 prepared sachets of gutka were recovered from the accused. Separate cases were registered against them.
Two imposters arrested
Ghaziabad police arrested two men for allegedly impersonating as CCD officials and stopping citizens under the pretext of checking them.
The suspects, identified as Ammar and Zain, were apprehended near Tajpura Scheme while posing as CCD personnel and intercepting passersby. Police said the accused attempted to mislead officers when asked to produce identification but failed to provide valid credentials and were taken into custody. A case was registered against the suspects.
