25 arrested in gambling crackdown

The New Karachi Industrial Area police on Saturday carried out a major crackdown on gambling activities, arresting 25 suspects while three others managed to escape. 

The operation was conducted on the directives of SSP District Central Dr Imran Khan. According to the police, the raid took place near Adil Pakwan in a katchi abadi of Khamsa Goth, Sector 5-F, where individuals were allegedly involved in gambling and betting activities.

Those arrested include Zahoor, Wakeel, Kamran, Ashfaq, Abdul Rasheed, Rasheed, Abdul Hakeem, Nauman, Ali Raza, Zubair, Ansar, Arsalan, Rafiq, Aneel Ahmed, Zaheer, Sajjad, Dilawar, Rashid, Azeem, Rafiq, Sadiq, Shaukat, Gulbahar Ali, and Ashiq Hussain.

The police said that suspects Muzammil and Riaz alias Raju, along with others, managed to flee during the raid, and efforts are underway to apprehend them.
