A team of the Azizabad police station on Saturday claimed to have arrested a notorious outlaw who was included in the list of most wanted suspects.
Police said the suspect, Altaf Odh, tried to escape by climbing onto the roof of a raided house. Residents also pelted the police with stones to help the suspect flee, which led to tension.
During the raid, the uniforms of several police personnel were also torn. After a tough struggle and firing in the air, the police party controlled the situation and arrested Odh.
Police said the man was involved in drug trafficking and arms supply and was included in the list of most wanted suspects.
The raid was conducted on information received from secret sources. The police also recovered drugs from the suspect’s possession, while further raids are underway against his other facilitators
