LAHORE:A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique in the Department of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education regarding the Nawaz Sharif Medical District and the under-construction Lady Willingdon Hospital. Secretary Health Punjab Azmat Mahmood was also present.
The meeting was attended by KEMU Vice Chancellor Professor Mahmood Ayaz, Special Secretary Development Ahmed Kamal Maan and other officers concerned. IDAP officers Maira Ali and others attended the meeting through a video link. The meeting reviewed the Nawaz Sharif Medical District and the under-construction Lady Willingdon Hospital project in detail. IDAP officers informed about the latest progress on the projects.
The minister said that revolutionary projects worth billions of rupees are being launched in the health sector. Under the Nawaz Sharif Medical District Project, Children’s Hospital 2 and Institute of Genetic and Blood Diseases, Institute of Surgical, Orthopedic and Medical Rehabilitation, Centre of Excellence for Nursing Education, Specialised Medical Hospital, 1,000-bed Cardiac Hospital, Medical University and latestdiagnostic lab will be built in Lahore.
