The Ziauddin University Examination Board (ZUEB) will hold matriculation and intermediate exams from May 9 to June 6, with more than 50,000 candidates expected to appear.
Officials said the exams would be held at over 50 major centres across Karachi and interior Sindh. ZUEB Executive Director Dr Nasir Ansar said that stringent arrangements have been put in place to ensure transparency and discipline during the exams.
Dr Ansar said security personnel and invigilation staff would be deployed at all centres, while an effective monitoring mechanism has been established to prevent cheating. He said they are coordinating with K-Electric to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the exams, while police and fire brigade services have been put on alert to deal with any emergency situation.
He also said that all the answer scripts would be assessed through a computerised exam system, minimising the chances of error. The results will be announced within two months, he added.
