LAHORE:Government College University (GCU) has announced 3,000 seats for intermediate admissions, including an additional 300 seats specifically for pre-medical, pre-engineering, and ICS students at its Kala Shah Kaku (KSK) campus.
As per the details, admissions are open in all groups, including pre-engineering, pre-medical, general science, computer science, commerce, and humanities, at the Main Campus in the morning and afternoon shifts.
Director of Intermediate Studies Siddique Awan stated that the university will accept online applications until the April 30 deadline, and hard copies are not required.
He clarified that as per the Punjab government's policy, admissions will be based solely on 9th Class BISE results with no entrance test. Applicants are instructed not to submit separate forms for morning and afternoon shifts; GCU will automatically display separate merit lists for both shifts. Alongside open merit, seats are reserved for high-performing athletes and top-ranking young speakers, actors, singers, Rover Scouts, and Qiraat and Naat reciters.
He noted that trials for the sports and co-curricular categories will commence on May 11. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Omer Chaudhry said that the new KSK campus seats will also facilitate students from nearby districts, supported by a free daily shuttle service operating between the two campuses.
