Hot weather as mercury reaches 28°C

LAHORE:Hot but partly cloudy weather was witnessed in the provincial capital here on Sunday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

The average AQI of the City was 82, which fell in the category of moderate while the PM2.5 concentration was 3.2 times the World Health Organisation annual PM2.5 guideline value.Met officials said the maximum temperature of the city was 28°Cwhile the wind speed was recorded at 11 kilometers per hour. The humidity ratio in the air was reported to be 30 percent.

They said the same weather conditions will continue for the next few days, where clouds and sunshine will coexist; however, a further increase in temperature may be recorded. Citizens were instructed to avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun and consume as much water as possible to protect themselves from the harmful effects of heat.
