LAHORE: To ensure implementation of traffic rules in the city, the traffic police have once again been given a challan target, under which the wardens have been ordered to issue 25 challans per day.

SP Traffic Zafar Abbas Naqvi while informing the DSPs and sector incharges, directed that lifter incharges will also issue 10 challans per day instead of 5. He said that the wardens should conduct blockades for licence checking.

He said the challan and licence diaries of wardens will be checked on a daily basis.

He warned that departmental action will be taken against negligent wardens and patrolling officers.
