Transport hike

The recent increase in transport ticket prices from Turbat to Quetta and other cities has become a serious concern, especially for students who rely on affordable travel to pursue their education. Many students from Turbat regularly commute to different cities for studies and these rising costs are placing an unfair financial burden on them and their families. Education is a basic right, yet such inflated fares are making it difficult for students to continue their academic journeys. A large number of families cannot afford these sudden increases, forcing students to either reduce their visits home or struggle to manage their expenses. This situation is not only stressful but also discouraging for those striving for a better future.

Beyond education, these rising fares are also affecting ordinary citizens who travel for medical treatment, jobs and family responsibilities. Similarly, workers who depend on travel for their livelihoods are struggling to manage their expenses, adding further financial stress to already burdened households. I urge the concerned authorities to take immediate notice of this issue and regulate transport fares to ensure they remain reasonable. Providing concessions or discounted rates for students could be a fair solution.
