MULTAN: Eid prayers will be offered at 2,061 Eidgahs, mosques and Imambargahs across the Multan region, including Multan, Vehari, Khanewal, and Lodhran. In addition, prayers will also be held at 78 open places, where 4,843 police officers and personnel have been deployed to ensure security.
Police officials said CCTV cameras, walkthrough gates, and metal detectors will be used for monitoring at sensitive locations, while Elite Force, Dolphin Force, and police mobile units will conduct continuous patrolling during Eid days. City police have also finalised a separate and comprehensive security plan for the district. RPO Usman Gondal said that the protection of lives of citizens is the police’s top priority.
