KOHAT: Several suspects were detained as police conducted a grand search and strike operation in the remote hilly area of Tor Chappar in Darra Adamkhel, officials said on Saturday.
District Police Officer, Kohat, Shahbaz Elahi said the operation was carried out in the mountainous regions of Darra Adamkhel, targeting terrorists, their facilitators, and other criminal elements.
He said the area had previously been considered a stronghold of militants, prompting enhanced security measures and coordinated action by law enforcement agencies.
During the search operation, several suspects were taken into custody for interrogation and shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation. Officials said that multiple locations in Tor Chappar were searched, while checkpoints were established at key entry and exit points.
