KOHAT: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Saturday said that the world was acknowledging Pakistan’s diplomatic role following its facilitation in Iran-US talks.

Talking to reporters here, he credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their effective diplomacy.

The governor said that Islamabad had become the centre of global attention, adding that Pakistan’s stature had risen when peace prevailed in the Middle East.

Referring to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf propaganda, he said that while the international community was appreciating Pakistan’s role, a political party within the country was allegedly conspiring against the national interests.

He also criticised individuals like Shehbaz Gill, accusing them of engaging in trolling from abroad. Referring to the incarcerated PTI founder, he remarked that he was convicted by courts, and those wishing to protest should do so outside courts rather than targeting the state.

The governor urged PTI to focus on the development of the province instead of engaging in what he termed anti-state activities.

He claimed that no major development projects were delivered in the province over the past 13 years and alleged that PTI’s development work existed only on social media.
