LAHORE:The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone has arrested an employee of the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) for allegedly accepting a bribe.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the accused, identified as Sher Ahmed Khan, was arrested while allegedly receiving a bribe.The accused was serving as an Executive Officer in EOBI and was posted at the EOBI office in Garden Town, Lahore.
The FIA stated that the accused allegedly demanded and received a bribe from a citizen in connection with an official matter. He was arrested red-handed while allegedly taking Rs100,000 from the complainant. A case was registered against the accused, the spokesperson added.
