The Manghopir police conducted an intelligence-based operation near Hub and foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of gutka and mawa arresting four suspects. The suspects had entered Karachi by hiding prepared gutka worth millions of rupees inside a passenger bus.
During the operation, police recovered 7,200 packets of prepared gutka and mawa packed in 720 bags from the bus. According to SSP West Tariq Ilahi Mastoi, the suspects were trying to smuggle the harmful substance by using women and children as cover in the passenger bus. The bus was also taken into police custody. The arrested suspects were identified as Rahim Bakhsh, son of Allah Bakhsh, Niyan, son of Khalid, Rauf, son of Allah Dad, and Ayub, son of Ibrahim.
