Islamabad:Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, while introducing Special Initiative Police Stations (SIPS), has issued directives aimed at tightening security measures and accelerating infrastructure development across the capital.
During a high-level review meeting, which included senior officials from the logistics, general and special initiatives wings, the IGP stressed that the protection of citizens' lives and property remains the department's primary mission.
The IGP conducted a detailed assessment of the current law and order situation and the specific security protocols implemented throughout the district. He instructed all officers to maintain a robust security presence and ensure that peace is upheld through proactive measures.
A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to the modernisation of police infrastructure, specifically the upgrading of police stations under the Special Initiative Police Stations protocol.
Rizvi ordered the immediate completion of all pending construction work and insisted that stations be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. In addition to station upgrades, the IGP reviewed the construction progress of the Islamabad Model Jail.
He directed the relevant officers to expedite the remaining work to ensure the facility becomes operational without further delay. The IGP held an open court at the CPO under his established Open Door Policy. He reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and merit, stating that his doors are always open to the public.
