PARACHINAR: The students of the Khyber Medical University (KMU), Parachinar Campus, have asked the relevant authorities to conduct examinations for non-promoted students to resolve their issues and prevent the loss of a precious academic year.

Addressing a press conference at the Parachinar Press Club along with female students, students’ leaders Qamar Abbas, Syed Irfan, Ihtesham Haider and others said that sixth-semester exams were approaching, but examinations for non-promoted students have yet to be scheduled, increasing the risk of losing an academic year.

They stated that in other districts of the province, exams for non-promoted students had already been conducted, but the situation in Kurram district was entirely different. Despite informing all concerned authorities, no action has been taken so far.

The student leaders warned that if their issues were not resolved immediately, they would be forced to block the main road in protest and may also approach the high court to secure their rights. They urged the relevant authorities to take immediate notice and announce an exam schedule as soon as possible to safeguard students’ academic future.
