ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Monday expressed displeasure over the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination’s failure to provide answers to multiple questions during the Question Hour, terming it a sign of serious negligence in a critical sector.
The Speaker reiterated his directive for the Federal Secretary for National Health Services to appear in his chamber without delay and explain why the required responses had not been provided.
During the sitting on Monday, during the Question Hour, five questions related to the Ministry of National Health Services remained unanswered, prompting the Speaker to question why replies had not been submitted despite the importance of the subject. He directed that the Federal Health Secretary be summoned to his office immediately to explain the lapse.
Addressing Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, the Speaker sought clarification over the delay, while the minister said efforts had been made to contact officials from various ministries to resolve the issue.
