Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique visited Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) and met an elderly patient who came to get surgery under the Adult CM's Cardiac Surgery Programme.
The minister gave the patient a programme card. He also reviewed the system of medicine supply to homes of heart disease patients and met the staff and directed the staff present there to further improve the system.
Khawaja Salman, while expressing his views, said that according to the CM’s vision, the patients of the Adult Cardiac Surgery Programme have started getting results. The waiting list of thousands of patients waiting for surgery under the programme will be significantly reduced, he said, adding the Punjab government has provided billions of rupees worth of treatment to thousands of patients through unique programmes of the health sector.
