LAHORE:Medical experts at the Lahore General Hospital (LGH) have advised citizens to maintain a balanced diet and adopt precautionary measures during Eid-ul-Fitr to safeguard their health.
According to experts, the human body becomes accustomed to a disciplined eating routine during Ramazan, and a sudden intake of heavy and rich foods on Eid can put excessive strain on the digestive system.
Assistant Professor of Medicine DrMaqsood and Consultant Gynecologist DrLaila Shafiq warned that excessive consumption of sweets and fatty foods may lead to indigestion, acidity, and complications for patients suffering from heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and joint pain.
