Over Rs91m paid to citizens on Ombudsman’s orders

LAHORE:On the orders of the Punjab Ombudsman, over outstanding dues of Rs91.6 million were paid to 69 citizens across the province within three months.

According to official details, the citizens had approached the Ombudsman after facing prolonged delays and denial of payment of their outstanding dues by various government departments. 

Taking swift notice of the complaints, the Ombudsman ordered the authorities concerned to ensure prompt redressal. 

 As a result of these interventions, arrears amounting to Rs91.6 million, which had been pending with different government departments for a considerable period, were successfully disbursed to the affected citizens.
