LAHORE: On the instructions of LDA DG Tahir Farooq, the LDA Town Planning Wing conducted operations in various schemes and LDA controlled areas and demolished 16 illegal structures and sealed 41 properties.
LDA teams conducted operations in Johar Town, Rehmanabad, Shan Bhatti Road, Pine Avenue, Defence Road, Audit and Accounts Society, Wapda Town, College Road, Shadman, Gulberg, New Garden Town and Sabzazar. Officials said 16 properties were demolished and one property was sealed in Rehmanabad, Johar Town, Shan Bhatti Road, Pine Avenue, Defense Road, Audit and Accounts Society, Wapda Town, College Road while 12 properties were sealed in Shadman, 18 properties in Gulberg and New Garden Town for illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercial fees. Teams also sealed 10 properties in Sabzazar during the recovery operation. The properties sealed include private schools, grocery stores, pharmacies, clinics, restaurants, food points, beauty salons, workshops, shops, offices and others.
