CHARSADDA: Unidentified assailants allegedly tortured and hanged a five-year-old boy to death in the Sabandi area in the jurisdiction of Mandani Police Station, police said.
The police said that the suspects killed the child and later dumped his body in nearby fields.The victim, identified as Muhammad Zakria, had gone missing after leaving his house. His parents made announcements in mosques in an effort to locate him, but he could not be found.
Later, the parents and residents discovered Zakria’s body in nearby fields.The police registered a case against unidentified suspects on the complaint of the victim’s uncle and started an investigation.Police said the post-mortem report did not find evidence of sexual assault.
