Traffic police announce alternative routes for Al-Quds Day rally

The traffic police have announced alternative routes for commuters in connection with the Youm-e-Quds rally scheduled to be held on Friday after Juma prayers.

According to details, a religious party will take out a march from Numaish Chowrangi to MA Jinnah Road’s Aman Tower. In view of the procession, the traffic police have issued a diversion plan to facilitate the traffic movement.

Traffic coming from Teen Hatti towards Tower has been advised to use the route via Gurumandir, Soldier Bazaar, Bahadur Yar Jang Road and Holy Family Hospital, or take left from Banuri Signal to PP Chowrangi via Corridor-III to reach their destinations.

Commuters travelling from Nazimabad towards Tower can take the Lasbela right turn towards Nishtar Road, Ranchore Line and Civil Hospital. Similarly, traffic from Fresco Chowk and Eidgah Chowk heading towards Numaish will be diverted from Tibet Centre towards Regal Chowk and Empress Market, or via Jubilee to Agha Khan III Road and Coast Guard to Soldier Bazaar.

Vehicles coming from Daudpota Road and Lucky Star towards Numaish will be diverted at Preedy Chowk either towards Saddar Dawakhana and PP Chowrangi or towards Regal Chowk.

Meanwhile, commuters travelling from Garden towards Zainab/Nishan-e-Pakistan Mobile Market area have been advised to use Agha Khan III Road via Coast Guard to Bahadur Yar Jang Road and Soldier Bazaar, or turn right from Uncle Saria Hospital towards Saeed Manzil. The traffic police have urged the citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and follow traffic instructions to avoid inconvenience.
