The Sindh government has declared a public holiday throughout the province on Friday (today). All the offices of the Sindh government, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous agencies, corporations and local councils under the provincial control will observe the holiday.
A notification to this effect has been issued by Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah. Earlier, in a video message, Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said Sinch Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had decided to declare a public holiday on March 13 in view of the annual Al-Quds Day rally by the Shia community organisations on its traditional route in Karachi for the liberation of Palestine.
