Blood donation camps arranged

PESHAWAR: The Frontier Foundation arranged blood donation camps after Iftar in different areas of Peshawar and Swat to help meet the transfusion needs of children suffering from thalassemia.

During the camps people, particularly young people, donated blood to support the cause, said a communication on Wednesday. Frontier Foundation Chairman Sahibzada Muhammad Haleem, thanked the blood donors and said that children suffering from thalassemia face serious difficulties due to a shortage of blood donations during the holy month of Ramazan. He appealed to the people to support the foundation in meeting the blood transfusion needs of these innocent children.
