LAKKI MARWAT: Police busted a gang of gamblers and arrested its 11 members during a raid here in the Mela Mandrakhel area, a police official said on Wednesday.
The official said that a party of the city police station conducted the raid following credible information that some gamblers including proclaimed offenders had gathered at the guesthouse of Muhammad Islam in the Mela Mandrakhel area for illegal activity. He said that when police reached the rural locality and started laying a siege around the gambling den, the armed suspects opened fire on them.
