KOHAT: The armed robbers looted a bank after holding the staff hostage and escaped with millions of rupees in broad daylight in Bahadurkhel area in the Karak district on Wednesday.
According to police, 10 to 15 masked gunmen entered the bank, threatened employees, and looted cash amounting to approximately Rs1.5 million before fleeing toward a nearby mountainous area.
Following the incident, a heavy police contingent led by District Police Officer Imran Khan arrived at the scene and secured the area.Search operation was going on in the surrounding hills to apprehend the suspects. A formal robbery case has been registered in Khurram Muhammadzai Police Station.
