PESHAWAR: The people highlighted issues at an online e-khuli kutchehry organized by the Energy and Power Department in light of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s directives and ongoing policy of Good Governance Road Map to bring transparency in the administrative affairs.
The open forum was organised, under the instructions of Secretary Energy and Power Nisar Ahmed, in which all officers concerned of the department participated.About 55 to 60 numbers of people from different districts contacted and openly discussed their issues related to the department and all its subsidiary institutions, and the public called the holding of the e-khuli kutchehry of KP government a revolutionary step of transparency and merit.
On this occasion, the Special Secretary Habib Ullah Arif and Additional Secretary Noor Wali Khan listened carefully to the public issues through calls received on official landline numbers through online Facebook and issued orders to the officers and officials present on the spot to resolve their issues immediately.
At the end of the 2-hour e-khuli kutchehry, Special Secretary E&P Habibullah Arif assured the public that in the light of the instructions of the Secretary Energy and Power, such open courts will be held regularly after every two months in which public issues will be directly heard and resolved immediately.
